Catherine Trail

Lights, Camera…ACTION!  There she goes, Catherine Trail, portrays sassy "Taylor" in the new film, “Death, Taxes and…Chocolate!”  With a history of theater and commercials and now a movie about her favorite food, CHOCOLATE…it was a shoot by land and sea on a not so maiden voyage destined to change her life forever!  A chocolate moment, with a few tears and a lot of laughs!

Dan Donovan

"Mick," the level-headed yet charming engineer, turned Mayor in "Death, Taxes... and Chocolate!" is really a retired New England police detective. This multi-talented actor is now following his dreams with surprising success. He has 20 movies under his belt and more to come, in addition to TV & stage credits.

Jan Hartsell

This is Jan’s first principal role in a feature film as the zany "Sara Jean" in "Death, Taxes... and Chocolate!".  She was privileged to work on the set of Bourne Ultimatum with Matt Damon and Talladega Nights with Will Farrell.  Her television experience includes the part of an NSA agent in several episodes of the NBC-Universal series Surface and an airline passenger in an episode of Dawson’s Creek.  She has been cast as Linda Stone in the TV pilot Raven Wood   written and directed by J.A. Cook and R. R. Gee.   Ms. Hartsell has studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute under the direction of Lola Cohen and Geoffrey Horne.  She would like to thank her husband Larry for his continued love and support.

Peggy Droz

Peggy has been a professional actor for over twenty years, performing on stage in California and North Carolina and touring in the Southeast U.S.  She has appeared on television in “General Hospital”, “Matlock” and the TV pilots “Final Appeal” and “How on Earth”. Currently, she can be seen in four regional and national commercials and has had principal roles in dozens more.  After several small roles in independent short films, Peggy feels like she hit the jackpot as the lead role as "Doc" in “Death, Taxes…and Chocolate”! Peggy and her husband, Doug Quin, a sound designer and music composer, live in rural North Carolina with their two very spoiled cats Playdoh and Saffron. The real "Doc" is thrilled to have Peggy play her in the film.

Greg Frucci

Greg's dry humor is deliciously fun to watch as "Dutch," the ex-CIA Agent/ Insurance salesman in "Death, Taxes... and Chocolate!". Greg has experience as a Lead Actor in films such as "PCP...A VanGuard Chronicle",  "Undoing Time" ( which will be shown at the Cinema City International Film Festival put on by Suzanne Delaurnetiis in March 2008) and various other projects.  Since "Death, Taxes and Chocolate" wrapped shooting, Greg has several other projects yet to shoot including "Raven Rock" TV Pilot, "Chandler & Chandler:The Eco Files" and a feature film which shoots in LA and Florida in the spring of 2008.  Other than acting, Greg's interests are surfing, skydiving, martial arts, camping and just about anything outside.

Ken Beals

Prior to his role as the Sea Captain "Brady" in DEATH, TAXES...AND CHOCOLATE!, Ken had been cast in a variety of roles from an abusive father, a gangster, and a doctor to a "redneck" preacher/DJ and enjoyed the challenge of each new role. He has been active in independent films and theatre in the Wilmington area for the last six years after a career as a high school English teacher in Massachusetts. He also has a number of industrials and commercials to his credit. Ken is looking forward to the premiere of DEATH, TAXES...AND CHOCOLATE! and the continued success of the film as it is shown around the country and the world.

Catherine Naomi Brinson Campbell

Rising star Catherine Campbell has been a professional actor for twelve years.    In "Death, Taxes... and Chocolate" she plays a supporting role as the reporter "Cat Blaze". Her wit, beauty, charm and skill as an actress have earned her Jobs on "Dawson's Creek" and "Message in a Bottle" to name a few. In her role in" Death, Taxes... and Chocolate!" she plays "Doc's" Friend, a warm hearted, caring reporter. The role was not hard for her to play she says," Because I am such a caring person myself. I could really relate to my character in this movie." Further more she states, " Andrea and Bud really worked hard and came up with an ingenius script. It was my pleasure to work with them and I am really honored they chose me for this part".
